Molten Veil

Molten Veil is built around a single transparent form. The colour behind it — orange burning down through crimson and magenta into deep violet — passes straight through, so the shape reads as something woven rather than something solid. Two broad indigo strokes sweep across the canvas behind it, one arcing overhead, one cutting low from the left, and the tension between them is what holds the composition still.

The marks are gestural and unrepeated. Some strokes are wide and fully loaded, others taper to a dry break where the brush ran out. Up close you read the layering; from across a room you read the colour.

It holds a wall on its own — striking against a deep accent colour, clean and gallery-like against white. A living room with strong architecture, a study, a bar corner, or a space where one piece has to carry the room.
